In a 2019 report published by the National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA), July, the top month for grill fires, is attributed to the July fourth holiday and the beginning of nice outdoor weather when many families in the U.S. gather to celebrate this national holiday and Summer. • Only use charcoal and propane BBQ grills outdoors
• Place the grill well away from the home, deck railings, and out from under the eaves and overhanging branches
• Keep children and pets at least three feet away from the grill area
• Keep your grill clean by removing grease fat and buildup from the grill and trays below the grill
• Never leave your grill unattended
